It's the meetings that are killing me. That and letting my boss know I could do some work at home. So now I HAVE to do work at home. Grrrrrr. Current project is MetroCard routlette. In case you didn't know, fares have been raised for all MTA modes of transportation. It's gonna cost you a whopping $2 a ride to go anywhere. Thank goodness I've got a job that almost pays a living wage. BUT there are grace periods for unlimited ride cards. Unlimited daily cards expired yesterday. Weekly cards expire 1 week from today. Monthly cards expire June 12th. You guessed correct! I've got all three! The daily card wasn't a deal since I only did two rides, and the daily cost me $4. A savings of $0. But the weekly, which I'm on right now, is a $4 savings over the new card, and a $6 savings over paying each way. The monthly card should be a savings of $7. But, of course, I mislabelled all my new cards. Metrocard roulette!
Turns out you can't blow $84 on three cards all at once at the same Metrocard machine using American Express. Stoopid anti-theft algorithms.
Look soon for the Bag Of Mystery.
