So once again it's pretty late and I'm doing some rather silly late night work. It's been a pretty deflating weekend for me. Found out on Saterday that KSA's all over the land have been blatently ripping off my KSA master list. Not that I've updated or done anything with it in two years. But still, at least they could link back to my page. Or give me credit. Or a shout-out at least. And, of course, the list is nearly worthless as half the links are now out of date. Sheesh. Students. They web is only 10 years old. And yet every year they have to do a complete redesign AND change the addy of their homepage? So, new project beckons. Update the list. The second gut check came from the far reaches of ... metafilter? Weird front page post, leads to weirder music page (Kompressor anyone?), leads to pic of cute girl, leads to nightmarish depression. OK, so she's younger. Quite a bit younger. So that's where the energy and the techno savvy come from. And she's cute, so (despite her protests), she's quite the populor. But c'mon! Working for a big ananymous company near the Financial District doing coding in C while not yet out of college

... after years of web design work in the village, of course on a desk you can land a carrier on inbetween raves and bars and clubbing 'till 6am. [head momentarily explodes with envy] Not that I want all of that now. I'm too old for half of that sunni (can't steal kirkman's trademark shiite). But when I was younger that's pretty much the life I wanted. Not that it's all fun. No sleep. At work until 10pm. 'Course, I'm at work at 10pm too. But I'd be happier if it was for coding (nerd that I am). Lots of long hours working (OK, so that's the part I don't do, which is why I'm where I am). And general time efficiency (She manages to work, school, and fun with friends. Me? I just blew 2 hours reading her blog.) Plus some attitude (Born and raised in Massachusetts, lives in the villiage, but she's a Brooklynite. Yeah. Poser. Come ride the N, R, F, Q, A or -godforbid- the L every freaking day and then come talk to me. And I'm not talking the chi-chi yuppieland called Brooklyn Heights either.) Oh well. At least I'm learning how to be a PowerPoint guru.

That'll come in handy one day.
