Adventures in Routerland
In the end, I went with a router.
Not because I have an ISDN or cable modem connection (because I don't).
But why buy a 5 port switch when a 4 port router is cheaper? I'll just use it as a switch for now, and in the far future when I get a broadband connection, one less piece of hardware to buy.
And it's been fun so far. Transferred pretty much everything off the old machine. Just going to give it three days to make extra sure that there's nothing left on the old machine (an HP n5420L) before I do a clean install and ship it off to mom.
In the meantime I've been off on a buying spree. 2 Laptop bags, optical mouse, CD-R's, etc. I figured while I was at it, I'd pay off a few bills too (credit card, alumni dues, etc).
. . . . . . . . . .
Again at the cousin's house. Again showing off my recepies. Again forgot the camera.
Saterday's demonstration was of my generic spagetti sauce. Which, of course, is not really very good as I use Ragu, as opposed to making it from scratch.
Essentially, it's cooking Italian Sausages (usually in the pot, where the yummy fat and juices can be mixed in with the sauce), lots of random mixed veggies, and then adding Ragu into the saute mix. Served with angel hair pasta (because it cooks fast).
Yummy.
