When I was last in the market for a laptop, there was the bind. Get the cheaper laptop witht he features I want for $1400, or get the laptop without any features for $900. Now that I have a job, I'm in the market for a $1400 laptop. But, as usual, there are no laptops with the features I want in the price bracket. For $1700 I can get one. Or for $1000 I can get a dozen with everything BUT the two features I really want (nvidia card and a floppy drive). And I'm on a clock too. . . . . . . . . . . Ack! Metafilter is down! What will I do now?! Not fark or /., that's for sure.
