Slow Motion
It's finally sinking in that I have no job come Monday.
I have options, and certain options are openning up, but a job I don't have.
Time to visit Monster
Time to call up old friends and see what the job situation is out their way.
Time to check up and see how the desert is this time of year.
. . . . . . . . . .
In the meantime, there's the big firesale at my desk. Office supplies, marketing material, FedEx envelopes, all up for the bidding. Not that I should pack up the desk, it's very possible that I'd still be working here come Monday, but there's no guarantee that I'll have the same desk.
Anybody want whiteout?
. . . . . . . . . .
I just realized that if I don't ever use the battery on the Toshiba 5205-2505 (aka T24-s505), so there really is no point to keeping it fully charged. It takes forever to charge tho (although the tradeoff is insanely good life, about 3 hours when not playing DVDs). But charging it fully, and then letting it discharge slowly over time is a bad bad thing, as it'll end up like the battery for my HP n5420L, with a 15 minutes lifespan. Been shopping around for a new one, as I'll be sending the HP to Mom soon, but them batteries are expensive.
Keep forgetting to get some Korean typing software too. Microsoft Global IME only working for HTML input under Windows ME, where as it's more robust under Windows XP (as I just found out). But I'm willing to bet that Mom wants to type up a few letters to Korea too, so I'll need a wordprocessor for her (plus those keyboard stickers).
