Unexpected Job Preformance Review Day
Needless to say, it did not go well. I think the problem is, and I should have pointed it out, that I'm replacing two and a half people really.
One person has left, and I'm assuming part of his responsibilities. A small part, but a really important part nonetheless. And a second person is shifting out, and I'm taking over pretty much all of her duties. Plus there's my already full plate, which isn't being helped by the fact that 80% of my job is fixing messes left behind by other people.
But for now I still have my job. And it wasn't a formal preformance evaluation. Or at least, there was no paperwork left behind to indicate any evaluation, good or bad.
. . . . . . . . . .
I missed the ferry three times today, the 5:20, the 5:40, and the 6pm ferry. Since I didn't want to hit the hay at midnight like last night, I opted out of meeting up with the old boss, and put it all off until tomorrow. We'll see how that rolls along.
. . . . . . . . . .
Tonight's little project, I think, will be to change up my meat selection. I think I'll try some improvised ground beef soy sauce and suger patties with garlic (It should taste better then it sounds.). I just hope the catnip (Actually, sesame leaves, but the Korean word sounds almost exactly like catnip. More like "ka - nip", really heavily accenting the two syllables, but fast so it's one word) doesn't overpower the thing.
Gene's Improvised Sesame Leaf Soy Sauce Suger Garlic Beef Patty
1 cup tired desperation
1 lb. ground beef
2 dozen sesame leaves
1 chopped scallion
garlic powder
dried fine chili powder
Sempio Soy Sauce (soup/Guk variety - it has a yellow label)
sugar
Maruhon Sesame Seed Oil
pepper
1) Sprinkle chili pepper lightly on sesame leaf.
2) cover with second leaf, sprinkly lightly with garlic powder (very sparingly)
3) repeat
4) when all leaves are stacked, soak in soy sauce
5) Leave overnight to 5 days. Eat as condiment.
6) After becoming sick of the strong flavor and oversalty taste because you clearly failed to follow mom's recepie, pour off soy sauce into another container.
7) Mix with water. 2 parts soy sauce to 1 part water.
8) Add sugar until slightly sweet
9) Add chopped scallion
10) Add sesame seed oil
11) Add pepper
12) Add more garlic
13) Mix into 1 lb. (or 1/2 lb. depending on how much you have) ground beef
14) Make into patties
15) Saute/bake/broil/fry/BBQ (whatever you want)
16) Eat with rice and Kimchi
17) Get into your empty empty bed, because if you were married your wife wouldn't let you make such a sad sack dinner.
