Overslept. Bathroom light busted, had to shower and shave in mostly dark. Rained cats and dogs, with wind. Forgot my work keys and my Metrocard at home. Too late to go back. No change to call in late. 8:30 and already my day is ruined. . . . . . . . . . . My enthusiasm for the pagen holiday is waning. Was not very enthused about it to begin with. Bad candy and too much pressure to have a good costume. Cheaper to buy a bag anyway. Liked making the jack-o-lantern, despite the mess. But when you put one out the kids just assume you're also giving out candy, and there goes your quiet uninterrupted dinner. And now it's just as commercial as Christmas. Eh. I'm such an old man.
