Insomnia
I've been exhausted this week. Mentally more then physically. But now that it's all over, I'm physically beat, but mentally, I'm racing through a thousand thoughts. I couldn't sleep much last night. About 4 hours. As I feared, too many thoughts came to haunt me all night long. Too many thoughts. . . . . . . . . . . The morticians could not get the death certificate signed yesterday. If we had known they couldn't get the doctor, we would have gone up to Lake Havasu and hunted him down ourselves. Uncle Myron was actually in lake Havasu, doing some shopping to keep his mind off things (and I think to get a good shirt for the funeral). Otherwise, the meeting at the funeral home went well. They have quite a racket going. Everything they do costs $800. Enbalming? $900. Staff service for the wake? $900. Standard service charge? $700. We were lucky to get out of there with a bill of only $7,000. Probably $8,000 when all is said and done. I need more life insurance. . . . . . . . . . . More family came over. And there was more booze. But at least at night they left. It seems like half of them don't seem to get it that this is not some vacation, this isn't all about taking the kids to the pool.
