Apparently I've had my head in the sand for the past 6 months. I've come to enjoy Blogger, despite all the hiccups associated with it. And now I'm very seriously considering upgrading my hosting to a blog*spot Plus account. $5/month to geet rid of that annoying banner ad seems very much worth it, expecially for my photoblog(s) (Yes, I'm thinking of adding yet another one down the line.). Of course, there is a minor hitch. Apparently, blog*spot plus has not been accepting any new purchases/memberships for the past six months. Not that you'll find this information on a google search. It's tucked away in a note in the Blogger help section, and on checking some online forums. Apparently there were some "bugs" and new sign-ons were temporarily stopped. But that was 6 months ago, and with those google ads everywhere, I don't think blogger has any incentive to restart it. Which is too bad, as now I'm beginning to reconsider my blogging tool options. If only TypePad were cheaper.
