Embassy Suites Hotel, lower Manhatten.
Bamboo and reflecting pool river. Posted by Hello
Yesterday I felt like adding some pictures to my photoblog, so I managed to convince a coworker to head on up with me to Chambers Street to photograph the pedestrian bridge up on Chambers Street. Besides the usual amazement that a bridge not more then 15 years old should have that much rust on it, there was nothing too unusual about the day, besides the fact that it was hot. Very hot. So, to escape the heat, and to use the bathroom, we ducked into the Embassy Suites hotel. Quite the fancy place indeed, and the architecture and interior design were very funky. Almost half of the hallways were balconies cantelevered off the side of the interior atrium, connected to the main building and elevator lobby by stacked bridges/walkways. Besides the mild feeling of vertigo on the upper levels, and the amazingly low railings, it was very cool. So we swiped a ketchup and mayonnaise bottle to remember the day by.
