It's Already Yesterday

Now that I'm nearly fully recovered, I can say that I had a good time Friday night. I got introduced to Niki and Brian, who had apparently gone drinking like crazy during lunch, and we headed out to The Bridge Cafe. I forgot that Brian couldn't eat shellfish, and accidentally ordered the calamari, which was delish. But I made up for it by picking up the tab while they weren't looking (nobody ever suspects the old "going to the restroom" ploy). Except for dessert, which Niki ordered with a fury I wouldn't have guessed from such a svelte woman. And then, groggy and drunk with wine, we headed off to Cafe Wha? for some live music. Of course, if I had known that we were heading up to the village, I would have recommended a place up there. I know more then a few hot trendy places (that also happen to be less expensive then the $170 tab I picked up at Bridge Cafe). Music was great, drinks even better, and despite being suddenly dropped into the 70's for a few sets, much fun was had. Somehow, I managed again to snag part of the tab, this time without having to resort to any sort of trickery. All in all, a night of fun that I hear so many other people have. Of course, now that I'm sober all I can think of is the tab. But then, as I stated before, I'm too much of a cheap bastard to really live this lifestyle.
