Two hours, 15 minutes. That's how long my commute in this morning was. Apparently, in the ensuing months of summer, the MTA has completely forgotten what to do in case of rain. Flooding in all the critical subway stations crippled the system, and to top it off some lady got into a fight in the next subway car. It's times like this I wish I had a car, so I could at least listen to some tunes and stretch out while I wait. :: Speaking of rain, Ivan is on his way to South Florida. This, of course, is bad news for Kirk and I, as we are scheduled to go to Florida this weekend. Tomorrow will be the go/no-go decision. I'm really hoping to go, as I've already spent some amount of money on stuff. But then, if it's just going to be wet and miserable, what is the point. Of course, unless the hurricane actually smashes up the airport, I don't think the airline (boo Northwest!) will be allowing us any accomidation. Grrr.
