Happy New Year! / Happy Smudge Day!

Today was a little bit of the best of both worlds, and yet not. Today was Lunar New Year (aka Chinese New Year). That meant that wildly inappropriate celebrations were in order. Lots of eating, lots of fun. Of course, this ran smack dab into Smudge Day (aka Ash Wednesday), which meant that today was meatless and a fasting day. Quite a conflict. A day of feasting and fasting. I managed to make my way through it, and even went to a chinatown restaurant ... for Vietnamese seafood. Good stuff all around. So, all in all, today turned out well. Oh, and I've still got a job. So that helped too.
