Low Effort Link Blogs Suck ... Mostly
Interesting little (and I do mean little) bit about how low effort link blogs suck. A good example of a bad link blog is fazed.org. The posts just barely tell you about what the link is about, and usually never warns you if it is a high bandwith link (like a streaming video). However, not all low effort linkblogs suck. Two great examples are kottke.org and LYD. Both have just a caption that summerizes the link, and possibly a tiny explanation. And yet both are hugely populor, and both are extremely easy to read. And both are much easier to maintain then this rather high effort linkblog. Link:
