Working from home is very difficult for me, as I lack a proper home office. By proper home office, I mean I lack a desk, or chairs, or supplies of any kind. There's no high speed internet connection, a rotary phone, and I lack lamps. It's basically just me, a flat board, and my bed (plus the laptop). Not really good for doing serious work of any kind. It seems kind of silly, but in that context it makes perfect sense for me to travel 2 hours out of my day into the city to drop by an office. And by office, I mean borrowed space where I feel awkward all day and am afraid to make loud phone calls. But it's got a phone and a decent dsl line. Of course, none of the remote programs I'm trying to run will run (here's hoping firefox will solve that situation, although I'm not sure if I should be installing anything as this is not my computer). But it's still more productive then the "home office". And by more productive, I mean not at all.
