Yet Another Reason Not To Shopo At Best Buy
I mean, besides the lousy service, the rebate forms that are never there, the pricing that is a mystery to all, and the fact that you can get better stuff for less elsewhere, just another reason why Best Buy sucks: they don't take cash. Or, more accurately, if you try and use cash they're not familier with, they'll have you arrested. I know the $2 bill is a little rare, but please, you should expect both cashiers and cops to know that $2 bills do exist. It's legal tender. And, from reading the Monkeyfilter comments, it's a great easy way to track the purchasing power of a subgroup. Let's say people complain that the hipsters invading your neighborhood don't really contribute to the small businesses locally. So you get all your hispter friends to use only $2 bills when they buy stuff. It becomes pretty apparent to both local businesses and local banks just how much purchasing power is being exercised when all the $2 bills start sloshing in. Or not sloshing in. Interesting and cheap anonymous tracking. Nice. [via Monkeyfilter] Link:
