Fire, Fire, The House Is On Fire

I actually go into bed early for a change. Was just chilling to some tunes, getting ready to fall asleep, when I heard two guys outside my window saying "I tried putting some water on it, but it didn't work." That's of course just before I smelled the smoke, and heard the fire trucks racing to my apartment building. Now I'm all awake, putting on some jeans, checking every room in the house looking for fire, and thankfully finding none. The firefighters outside didn't seem all concerned, a little jovial in fact. Of course, they were also busy hacking away at my wall, or so it sounded like. I'm busy panicking, hoping they don't come through the wall, not so much concerned with the whole fire thing since kids randomly set fire to the building front door from time to time. And then, just like that, they're gone. Gone. Turns out it was a trashcan that is front of the building that was on fire, and it set some of the moulding on fire too. It was also on the other side of the door, so my exterior wall was never in danger. The wind was blowing in the right direction, so even the minor smoke (more smell then smoke) was naturally pushed out of my apartment. I finally got to sleep at around 2:15 AM, tho, so I am just draggig my ass at work today. Ungh.
