It's Not Easy Being Gene

Today's plan was very simple. Leave work at a reasonable hour (6pm), go to the MOMA to see the Thomas Demand show and the Highline exhibit for free thanks to Free Fridays sponsored by Target, and then see what the big deal is about the possible closing of the Howard Johnson's in Times Square. I actually did all that. Left work kinda on time (6:45pm), MOMA was fun, and the meatloaf at HoJo's sucked. Afterwards, I went for a little semi-photo stroll and ended up sitting underneath a canopy umbrella by the loverly lit fountain at Bryant Park. What I don't understand is why it's proved to be completely impossible for me to convince anyone of the female persuasion to join me in these little outings. I don't think I'm asking too much ... but apparently I am, because so far there haven't really been any takers. It just all sucks, bigtime.
