If you live in California, call up Sen. Dianne Feinstein and remind her that she is an elected official. If she's going to whore herself out to anybody, it's going to be the voters of California, NOT BigHollywood. Do you like being able to record TV on your VCR and not have to worry about it "expiring" or dissappearing after a week? Do you like the ability to record TV at ALL. Don't want to worry that in taping that episode of Friends you really enjoy will result in a federal crime and a $10,000 fine? Want to preserve your rights, as established by the Supreme Court in the Betamax decision? Then you want to vote against Broadcast Flag. If you'd rather pay someone $5 every single time you want to watch an old Cheers episode, or if you particularily like being reamed for $17.99 to buy the DVD box set, then maybe Broadcast Flag is for you. Either way, Sen. Feinstein should be jumping up and down begging you, the voter to tell her what to do, notlecturing you with scripts provided by multi-biollion dollar media conglomerates. Give her a call and remind her that she's your whore, NOT theirs.
