Just a few notes to cover the rather mundane goings on of LarimdaME. July 4th was great. Had to rush things all day, as I had to run up to Fort Lee to help the aunt and uncle build yet more furniture. (Thanks for nothing IKEA.) But I actually got down to Grand Central on time for a change, met up with Jeff, and we had absolutely no trouble getting to the FDR by the Brooklyn Bridge. to my shock and awe, other people actually showed up, so it was a very pleasant time chatting it up, sharing some food, and not noticing that 2.5 hours just blew on by. Normally, it's just a loooooooong wait, but this time it felt like no time at all. And, as usual, the fireworks were resplendant. This week has been hectic. My uncle is having surgery next week, so I've been asked to lend a hand. But of course, the asking has been a little late, so now I'm rushing rushing rushing to get stuff done beforehand. And the timing is pretty awful too, as that's just before we have a big client meeting. Last night was a blur of flickr. The swoon opening was a mob scene, so many hipsters. I'll have to go back later to actually get a good look at the art. Met a few flickrers there, but had to bail in order to ... meet other flickrers. Which was boatloads of fun (literally), and now I'm all at work wondering what I did to deserve sch a fun time yesterday. Anyway, I guess I'll keep up the burger theme by making some burgers for dinner tonight. Tomorrow I suppose I'll swing by the store in the afternoon, and get refamilier with the whole setup again. Hopefully I can get out of there in time for the Edward Scissorhands showing at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).
