Last night finally had dinner with the cousin, which I've been postponing due to scheduling conflicts again and again. As usual, I had too much soju, so I don't really remember much of the night, and of the subsequent train ride home either, but that's par for the course. What I did remember was that I pressed him on several occasions to recount what exactly happened after I last saw him, when I bundled my charges into a taxi with him and a pal. All I got was the punt, "I don't remember too much," which is just code for "I'd rather not say." This is frustrating because: a) I'm nosy b) All I know is that some "ugliness" took place, but no details. I'm gonna chalk this one up into the "Don't ask, don't tell" folder and just leave it at that.
